Positive energy during theme week: Obton's employees raised DKK 75,000 for Danish Red Cross

During our theme week in May, Obton's employees took to running in a big way, both in Denmark and abroad – all for a good cause. At the end of the week, we finished with a donation to the Danish Red Cross Youth summer camp in East Jutland together with Red Cross Europe of EUR 10,000.

The week's activities

The week started with a communal breakfast and an introduction to the week's big activity, namely our "Walkathon".

The Walkathon was about walking as many steps as possible in teams of five. And as one of Obton's values is a 'Winner mentality', fierce competition quickly began to develop between the teams.

During the course of the week this positive energy was also served in drinkable form to our employees with an ultra-healthy juice bar that was enjoyed to the fullest.

On Friday morning, everyone was invited for croissants, smoothies and an intimate concert with Gunva in the foyer of Prismet.

Every day after lunch, the steps were collected on walks in the Botanical Garden. The theme week also included a juice bar and intimate morning concert.

Family run to round off the week

On the Sunday, employees and their families were invited to the ObtonRun 2022 at Aarhus Fremad Stadium. Here, the last sparks of energy were expended in a run where each round triggered a donation, which was added to the money already raised for Danish Red Cross Youth and Red Cross Europe.

All in all, it was a really fun afternoon, which was rounded off with a well-deserved snack/drink/ice-cream for the rosy-cheeked kids and adults.
