Onboarding: 50 new employees gathered for Obton Camp
New employees get a comprehensive introduction to strategy, values and culture when they take part in Obton Camp.
On 20-21 April, Obton Camp was held for the first time for the roughly 50 new employees who began working for us during Q1 2022. Participants attended from six different countries, and a packed program was scheduled with time for both professional development and social activities.
According to Chief Human Resources Officer Andreas Jakobsen, there are several reasons for gathering together all new employees for two days' physical onboarding.
"In general, we have a goal of giving our employees a world-class onboarding program, and in keeping with our current rate of growth, we have been forced to find new ways of achieving this. Which is why we started Obton Camp."
Comprehensive introduction
On the first day of the camp, the new colleagues received a comprehensive introduction to Obton's strategy going forward to 2025, our company culture and our values. They were also shown an investment case for our investors, our business model and a presentation of all the departments at Obton.
An event run had been arranged for the afternoon around Aarhus, which showed its best side in the beautiful sunshine. The day's program ended with a big group dinner at a restaurant by the harbour.
It was back to 'Obton School' on day 2, when the participants were taught about the purely technical aspects of solar energy production, among other things.
