The office in Milan is founded in 2020 and houses 29 Obton employees. It is the second largest Obton office, second only to our headquarters in Aarhus.
The open space office with five meeting rooms and just as many phone booths is located in the central Milan and with a super view on the top of the Duomo, you can spot the Madonnina from the kitchen’s balcony!
The Obton journey in Italy has been particularly extraordinary. In just four years a solid, strong, and presentable organization has been build going from three employees to almost 40.
Several tasks have been insourced during this period which has raised the quality of the knowledge about the assets the Obton offices in Italy handles. In addition, over the last 4 years complex transactions have been handled of no less than 150 companies, over 300MW, where the business cases simultaneously had to optimize.
The Culture
The Obton values are always the foundation for how we do business. In the office in Milan its no different. We strive to live Obton's values and work intensely for our culture. Furthermore, we have a special culture at our offices in Italy, which is a mixture of Danish and Italian culture, which contributes to a very special working environment. We Manage The Assets - And Much More
At the office there are mostly specialists working within Finance, Asset Management, Tech Operation, Legal, Acquisition, Revamping, HR and Office Management.
These specialists mainly handle the assets in operation. This includes that transactions are prepared and handled from the Milan office. Also tasks related to optimizing of existing portfolios from production to finance are solved here. The Asset Management team always cooperate close with the Finance and Tech team and viceversa. Asset Managers and employees from Tech Operations usually need to go on site visits together, and the legal department is sometimes involved too!
Obton is an international company that places a high value on international cooperation. Therefore, the employees in Milan are often in contact with other departments outside Italy, and especially the headquarter in Denmark.
