Obton Austria GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of Danish Obton A/S, investing in photovoltaic plants around the world. Currently we are looking for an Insurance Manager (m/f/d) located in Europe, preferably German speaking area in a full-time employment. Employed in one of our offices e.g. Klagenfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Milan, you will report to Obton’s Commercial Operations Manager located in Austria.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be procuring and managing the insurance policies established in relation to Obton Group, including all project activities at Obton to ensure proper risk management. The Insurance Manager will primarily assess insurance risk as well as recommend approaches for risk mitigating solutions in accordance with best practice, while continuously improving policies through negotiations with insurance companies. You will have to work closely with all colleagues around the world as well as at the headquarters in Denmark

Primary tasks

• Supporting Commercial Management (including Transition Management and Acquisition and Development) on insurance related matters
• Procuring insurance for new projects under Project Financing, Acquisitions and Development
• Assessing insurance risk in accordance with insurance due diligence processes, as well as recommending approach for risk mitigating solutions in accordance with best practice
• Managing negotiation with the insurance advisor, insurance companies and brokers, including renegotiations of existing policies
• Creating and modifying procedures and documents related to policies
• Creating material for global policy tenders
• Ensuring that necessary data is collected to enable tenders from various source
• Ensuring risk coverage during insurance policy transitions
• Supporting the AOM team with insurance events
• Providing the AOM team and Solar Performance team as well as Group Performance team with input on insurance reporting

General expectations of competences and experience

• Master's degree in law, Finance, Accounting, Insurance Administration or similar
• 3-5 years of experience in a risk management position with ability to manage stakeholders and employees in an international context
• Extensive experience with risk management with proven ability to perform insurance functions
• Preferably some years of professional experience from the insurance industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach toward business issues
• Familiar with company law as well as the regulations in relation to solar power plants
• Knowledge and understanding of financial and business management principles with the ability to communicate and prioritize business requirements
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Must be highly skilled in MS Office
• Fluent in English
• Management reporting experience
